The Association Sibiul Azi is the result of a strong belief in change. We mean the change that can be helped by anyone, by any action meant to improve the world. Our project seeks to educate the young, to promote material and spiritual culture. In our opinion, in the absence of education and culture, people fail; we feel that our mission is to help keep and preserve national and European values, by education, by fostering traditions, by focusing on the multiculturality ever so present in the life of the Sibiu community. Volunteering is a culture and this type of culture is essential for the smooth development of a community/society; we intend to strengthen the idea of giving a helping hand to the other, especially among the young, by appealing to their vitality, their creativity and their innovating skills.
The objectives of Sibiul Azi are given by the drafting and implementation of educational, cultural, lifelong learning projects, projects that focus on advisory, mediation activities, and activities meant to ensure an environment that could foster efficient personal development. The projects conducted until now have focused on various target-groups, ranging from pupils to adults, by training courses or by soft-skill and communication workshops. Furthermore, with the help of our members and associated experts, we provide integrated educational packages that includes edifying activities meant to improve the access and participation to early education, educational activities seeking to decrease school dropout rates, with the help of programmes such as “afterschool education”, second-chance programmes – by organizing extracurricular activities, advisory and professional consulting activities – for students and adults alike, free courses for adults and children, active involvement and volunteering actions of the community’s members, for solutions to the community’s problems, facilitation and mediation actions for the identification and strengthening of partnerships seeking to solve the community’s problems by a participatory approach.
